KATE IS A 5* LEVEL EVENT RIDER and USDF SILVER MEDALIST.
After her introduction into eventing through Pony Club, Kate knew her future would lead her to be an equestrian professional. Kate earned her BA degree in Animal Science at the University of Kentucky. After successfully campaigning her horse Mojito from the lower levels of eventing to the [former] Rolex Three Day Event, Kate sold her upper level mount and purchased a lovely farm for her home base in Aiken, SC.
Over the years, Kate has trained with some of the most prestigious coaches in the country and has ridden a wide variety of horses. Kate attributes most of her success through learning with top level equestrians such as Jon Holling, Will Coleman, and Phillip Dutton. Kate continues to compete in multiple disciplines. She trains under the tutelage of Alison Head and James Burtwell in Dressage.
Kate earned her USDF Silver medal on a self-produced 7 year old 2* event horse. Kate is continually developing an impressive string of horses she selects to train up through the eventing levels while also running her own business in the thriving equestrian city of Aiken.
